The Montana Actors’ Theatre believes that artistic and creative experiences for youth are essential to the health and vitality of our community. For the past 20+ years, thousands of children in Havre and along the Hi-Line have participated in our youth programs.

KidsMAT is a unique performing arts summer camp experience for children ages 5-15. Kids learn all aspects of theatre production including story and script development, acting, costuming, and technical aspects. Camps are held in various locations throughout northcentral Montana. Kids attend Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm culminating in a short production Thursday evening. Camps begin in the middle of June.

$50 for the first child and $35 for each additional child in the family. Camp fees include a t-shirt and water bottle. Scholarships are available.

For the past several summers, MAT has hired college students or recent college graduates as paid interns in our Young Professionals Program. These young adults manage and direct the KidsMAT touring children’s camps. Interns gain valuable practical experience, professional development, and artistic opportunity.
