24 Hour Play Fest
One Night Only, November 17th 2018
In the span of 24 hours – MAT actors, writers and directors will create and stage a series of short plays – all with an underlying common thread. A random draw on Friday night creates teams that have until 8 pm Saturday night to write, rehearse and stage a show. As an audience member, you are invited to join us for the draw and then rejoin
us the next night to see the results!

MAT veteran Pam Veis directs this winner of the New York Drama Critic’s Circle Award for Best American Play. The story of the Wingfield family – Amanda, Tom and Laura – this play is widely considered one of Tennessee Williams’ best. Running in rep with Death of a Salesman.

MAT brings an American classic to the stage with Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. Directed by MAT Artistic Director Jay Pyette, this play tells the story of Willy Loman and his perception of the American Dream. This haunting and beautiful script was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Tony Award, as well as many others. Running in rep with The Glass Menagerie.

Taking place in the Kit Kat Club in 1929 Berlin, Cabaret is one of the world’s best known musicals. The story of Clifford Bradshaw, an American writer, and Sally Bowles, a vivacious, talented cabaret performer, and an utterly lost soul, Cabaret explores a world in which events are quickly spinning out of control and facism is on the rise. Directed by MAT veteran Rachel Dean.
