Dr. Grant Olson started with MAT in 1996 performing in several scenes from the works of Shakespeare. The next year he and Jay Pyette appeared in Greater Tuna for the first of many productions together. Grant was the first vice-president of the MAT board of directors, and worked with the inaugural board in the incorporation and establishment of MAT as a nonprofit organization. He received his Masters degree in Text and Performance from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art / King’s College London. For his masters thesis he produced and directed “The Dead of Winter” by Jay Pyette. This production brought 18 MAT company members to London’s Union theatre in 2003 for a month long run. He received his PhD in Drama from Kingston University London in 2015.
