One Man, Two Guvnors @ MSUN/MAT Theatre

One Man, Two Guvnors @ MSUN/MAT Theatre

Produced by Anjanett Hawk

Out-of-work musician Francis Henshall becomes separately employed by two men – Roscoe Crabbe, a gangster, and Stanley Stubbers, an upper class twit. Francis tries to keep the two from meeting, to avoid each of them learning about the other. Complicating events, Roscoe is really Rachel Crabbe in disguise, her twin brother Roscoe having been killed by her gangster boyfriend, Stanley. Complicating events still further is local mobster Charlie the Duck, who has arranged his daughter’s engagement to Roscoe despite her preference for an amateur actor. Even further complications are prompted by several letters, a very heavy trunk, several unlucky audience volunteers, an extremely elderly waiter and Francis’ pursuit of his twin passions: Dolly (Charlie’s feminist bookkeeper), and food.

Nightly Sponsors:
January 24 – Karrie and Cal Lein
January 25 – Gary and Leo’s IGA
January 30 – Carol Reifschneider
January 31 – Greg and Barb Jergenson
February 1 – Dana Pyette

Ticked Off Auditions @ MSUN/MAT Theatre

Back for the fourth year, MAT’s touring dinner theatre will feature Rachel Dean’s original play.  It is a tale of star-crossed lovers: a religious vegetarian falls in love with a devout meat-eater. What will come of their love? Can it survive the slings and arrows of a world determined to keep them apart? Only the Great Tic…oooo…can tell. Hosted by the Eagles Clubs in Chinook and Havre, the night will prove hilarious – and delicious. Shows will also be performed in Lewistown and Shelby with the possibility of additional towns.
